CSCI joined several competitions and our members were always consistent top placers in these events. There are plans for CSCI to join National and International philatelic events.

1995
Nathypex '95
Host: Philippine Philatelic Federation
Date: July 24-28, 1995
Venue: Kan-Irag Hotel, F. Ramos St., Cebu City

CSCI's Richard Allan Uy joined Nathypex'95 and won vermeil in the National category for his entry Spanish Philippines: A Retrospect Through Philately.

Philpostpex '96
Host: Philippine Postal Corporation Region 7
Date: November 5 - 11, 1996
Venue: Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu Business Park, Cebu City

CSCI joined the first Philpostpex hosted by the Philippine Postal Corporation Region 7.

For the Professional Level, Richard Allan Uy's "Las Islas Filipinas" bagged the Gold in the National Category besting entries from the Cebu Philatelic Society and Bohol Philatelic Society.

1997
Philpostpex '97
Host: Philippine Postal Corporation Region 7
Date: November 04 - 10, 1997
Venue: SM City Cebu, Reclamation Area, Cebu City

CSCI members along with it’s Affiliate Stamp Clubs (ASC’s ) won top awards in the different categories at Philpostpex ‘97.  Julian Kael E. Uy, son of CSCI founder Richard Allan Uy won the Gold in the Topical Category for his entry “Boats and Ships” while another entry, “The Scouting Movement” grabbed the Vermeil (second place) in the Thematic Category both under the Professional level. Salvador Toong Jr.’s “Australia” won the bronze in the Foreign Category. In the Junior level, Julianie Kimberly E. Uy representing her school, Samantabhadra Institute won the Vermeil for her entry, “The Bunyips”.

 

Anna Lorraine Flores and Daryl Lim representing St. Joseph’s Academy got the bronze for their “China, The Land of Ancient Culture” (Foreign Category) and “The Knights of the Sky” (Thematic Category).

 

Affiliate Stamp Clubs, University of San Carlos Girls High won the gold for “The Different Faunas on Stamps” (Topical), while University of Cebu’s “Philippine Stamps, First Day Covers and Blocks of Four” (National) won the bronze.
